Mom, losing you was the hardest time of my life. You were the greatest of moms and you took care of us unselfishly after dad died. Walking us to school, shopping or helping you cook always were filled with joy. Our childhood was amazing. Our house had a big backyard with a pool, swing set, covered patio and a complete playhouse built by dad with electricity, a screen door and all the furnishings. Life changed again when you married Del and we saw you laugh more and were happier. The exciting trips you and Del took were epic and we couldn't wait for the souvenirs and pictures when you came home. The Knights of Columbus dinners and bowling nights brought wonderful new friends and relationships I will always cherish. You always welcomed my friends and invited them to dinner and treated them as family. You were the best grandma to my son Jason and instilled love and family values in him, You were his second mom . Taking care of you these past 6 years were difficult but worth every moment, Watching Dodger baseball, the Broncos win a Super Bowl, the news or Wheel of Fortune made special moments for a son and mother. I'll miss those.
But most of all mom, you gave me my Catholic faith and for that I am eternally grateful. God Bless you mom and say hi to dad and my brothers for me.
Love, Johnny
