Sara J. Anderson (nee VanGilder), 79, of Columbus, Ohio passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on March 1, 2013. She was born June 6, 1933 in Fairmont, WV to the late Sara (Springer) and Charles W. Van Gilder, Sr. She graduated from East Fairmont High School, earned a Bachelor’s degree from Fairmont State College and her Master’s degree from The Ohio State University. She taught and retired from Columbus City Schools in 1996. Sara was a faithful member of Parkview United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and had served as a lay minister and on the board of directors for many years. She was a prayer warrior for many. Sara also enjoyed attending the A.O.A. classes at the Hilltop YMCA. She made lasting friendships wherever she went. Surviving are her children, Steven (Cheryl Ann) Andrick, Edward Andrick, Ellen (Tom) Flynn and Cheryl Lee Andrick; grandchildren, Courtney and Kyle Andrick, Amanda and Jessica Flynn; great-grandchildren, Micah, Brelonna and Andrew; brother, Charles (Mona) Van Gilder, Jr. and family. Family will receive friends 4-7pm Monday, March 4, 2013 at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43204. Funeral Service 11am Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Parkview United Methodist Church, 344 Algonquin Ave., Columbus, OH 43204 with visiting 10-11am; Rev.
