Wilma Louise Scarberry, 79 of Moore, entered her heavenly home Thursday, April 5, 2018.
Louise was born April 10, 1938 in Norman, OK to the late Ruby (Bell) Patrick and Jack Luker.
She graduated from Crooked Oak High School in Oklahoma City in 1956. Louise met her future husband, Bobby Joe Scarberry, standing outside Brother Bennett’s church. As Bobby drove by the church, he saw the most beautiful girl he had ever seen and declares it was love at first sight. They married June 15, 1956 in Oklahoma City. She worked as a dispatch operator for both Newcastle and Midwest City Police Departments and in publications for Moore Public Schools. After retiring, she ran the business for Bob’s Striper Guide Service at Lake Texoma. Louise enjoyed music, motorcycles, fishing and bingo, but her true passion was Bobby and her family. Nothing could make her smile more than her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and Bobby enjoyed many great years of making memories at Lake Texoma with friends and family.
In addition to her parents, Ruby Bell Patrick and Jack Luker, Louise was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Lois Frair and Sharon Beach, and brothers-in-law, Bob Frair and J.D. Dodge.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 61 years, Bobby Joe Scarberry; children, Gary and wife Debby Scarberry, Terry and wife Cindy Scarberry all of Moore, OK; Grandchildren, Randy and wife Erin Wilson and their children Kristen, Audrey and Reed; Josh and wife Ashley Wilson and their children, Cooper, Cade and Beckett; Kelcie Scarberry and Zac Lee all of Edmond, OK, and Tara Scarberry of Moore, OK; sisters, Betty Dodge and Jackie Tolliver of Oklahoma City, OK; brothers, James Luker and Jim “Red” and his wife Deborah Hatfield of Oklahoma City, OK; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send special thanks to Integris Oncology Department, Frontier Hospice, and Sommerset Assisted Living for their excellent care and support for Louise and the entire family.
