Tribute

Wilma Fay Murrow, a cherished daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, journeyed peacefully into eternity on November 13, 2023. Born on December 7, 1949, in Talihina, Oklahoma, Wilma was the beloved child of Tommie and Carrie Williams.

Wilma took immense pride in her Choctaw heritage, carrying its traditions and values close to her heart throughout her life. Her vibrant spirit and love for adventure led her on a remarkable path, filled with treasured moments and shared experiences. In her youth, Wilma's passion for sports was evident. Her prowess in softball and basketball not only showcased her athleticism but also became the avenue through which she crossed paths with the love of her life, Bracy Murrow Jr., whose memory she held dear after his passing in 2013. Beyond her athletic endeavors, Wilma had an insatiable love for the thrill of competition, particularly when playing pool. Her travels to Las Vegas were adorned with spirited games, where she immersed herself in the exhilarating world of cues and balls. An avid enthusiast of western movies, she found solace and joy in the narratives of the Old West, often immersing herself in tales of cowboys and frontier life. However, her affection for blankets stood out among her interests, embracing them as her favorite gift, a symbol of comfort and thoughtfulness. Wilma's modern interests were equally endearing. She found delight in the digital world, often losing herself in the addictive joy of Candy Crush on her phone. Her shopping escapades were as unique as they were entertaining; renowned for her knack for purchasing unexpected items from Wish.com and indulging in all that the shopping channels on television offered. Wilma's legacy transcends her hobbies and interests. She will be remembered for her unwavering love, her vibrant spirit, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.

Wilma is survived by her children, Tommie Murrow and Jacci Murrow; grandchildren, Brittnie Bain, Kristen Murrow, and Michael Murrow; great grandchildren, Averie Bain, Khari Moore, Koen Bain, Kehara Moore, and Kade Bain; sisters, Rosina (Nikki) Mann, and Linda (Lynn) Draper; and great niece, Kennedy Draper.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Tommie and Carrie Williams; loving husband, Bracy Murrow Jr., children, Kenneth Tiger and Bracy Murrow III; brothers, Wilson Belvin and James (Buck) Williams; and sisters, Patricia (Pat) Sinnett, Lula Berryhill, and Lorene Running After Arrow.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on November 16, 2023, from 5-7pm at Moore Funeral and Cremation.
