Vickie Howell Truelove entered the Land of the dying on March 11, 1961. The first of three daughters born to Paul R. and Shirley A. Howell. She went to sleep on Saturday, November 30, 2019 in her home and woke up in the Land of the Living, in the presence of our Savior for eternity. Oh, the sights she must be seeing and what a reunion is happening with her loved ones which went before her!
As a Child Vickie was quite the Softball player, until Asthma became too much of an obstacle for her to continue. The last several years Vickie had suffered with many additional health issues and, in fact, was forced to survive on disability income.Yet, despite her poor heath and limited resources, she will always be remembered for her infectious laugh and her generosity to others, even to a fault. Vickie gave of herself and of her income to the point of denying herself any potential luxury.
As a young lady Vickie married Bobby Truelove. That union produced one son Eric Truelove.
Vickie was preceded into eternity by her husband Bobby, her Father Paul, one Sister Karan Howell Shepherd her Grandparents Eddie and Iva Dunn and Richard and Sophie Howell. She is survived by her son Eric of Oklahoma City, Her Mother Shirley Howell of Oklahoma City, a Sister Lana HowellNowicki of Oklahoma City, her loyal companion and friend, (her dog), Roxy as well as a host of nieces and nephews, and many other family and friends.
Our loss is Vickie’s gain. She will be missed but no doubt she would not come back and she would expect us to press on until it is our turn to join her there! A Memorial Celebration of Vickie’s life will be held on Saturday December 7, 2019 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at Wiley Post Park Event Center.
