Veronika "Vera" Carter

On Saturday, April 27, 2019, Vera went to join our father in Heaven and take her place with the angels.


Vera was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Great-Great-Grandmother.  She was a loving Wife to Jim, her Husband for 67 years and was a loving person to all family and friends.  


She is survived by five children; Son Dennis and wife Lana; Son, Robert and wife Susie;
Daughter, Sue; Daughter, Melinda and Husband Karl; Son, Mike; 8 Grandchildren, Angela, Melissa, Jessica, Neal, Clay, Cole, Karla and Sean; 14 Great-Grandchildren, Lawton, Brody, Janie, Kaelynn, Ethan, Ashlynn, Katelyn, AJ, Kensie, Callie, Thea, Liam, Jackson and James; one Great Great Grandson, Luke; and many extended family members.  


Vera was born January 25th, 1926 in Rosweide, Germany and married her husband, Jim on March 6, 1948.


The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you the day God Called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the Chain will link again.
