Trula DeAnn (Dinky) Callaway Spores

Trula met the young love of her life and married Scott Craig Spores on September 12, 1977. They had three children. Carrie Burgess (Refford), Lexington, OK, Delbert (Bo) Spores (Becca) Moore, OK and Cody James Spores of Lexington, OK. Trula was a quintessential stay at home mom. She cherished that role and was a loving devoted wife to Scott. Her entire life was dedicated to her family. She was a very outgoing person who never met a stranger. She loved OU sooner football, music, cooking, red roses, and cutting up in a silly way in order to make people laugh. She was always ready to share a joke with anyone. She loved animals especially her lapdog DeDe, her constant companion. She knew DeDe loved her unconditionally. Trula had a heart as big as Texas, she was selfless, a giver, and loved everyone. Later in life, after Scott’s passing, she met Melvin Swiger and they shared a special love and lots of good times together. Trula loved her children and nine grandchildren, Ethan, Matthew, Ava, Brayden, Savannah, Jackson, Patton, Reese, and Serenity. She had two great grandchildren and was looking forward to meeting them. Trula accepted the Lord in her life and was ready to join him in heaven. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Scott, parents Delbert and Janie Callaway (Moss), brother Ronnie Callaway, sister Betti Sue (Suzy) Callaway, brother Randy Callaway. A niece Jasmine Callaway, and nephew John Charles Alkire.

She is survived by her children who loved her to the moon and back, sister Janice (Penny) Nichols (Phil) of Moore, OK. Brother Charles Kevin Callaway (Judy) of Bridgecreek, OK, Sister Lora Dayton of Norman, OK., brother Sam Callaway (Alice) McLoud, OK. She will be missed by so many friends, relatives, and others in the community
