Traci Cottrell

April 14, 1967 ~ June 26, 2021 (age 54) 54 Years Old

Tribute

Traci Lee Cottrell (54) passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday morning, June 26, 2021 in Harrah, Oklahoma. She was born April 14, 1967 in Oklahoma City to Richard Langley and Margaret Ann Langley, who both preceded her in death.

Traci graduated from Del City High School in 1985, where she played flute and was active in the DCHS Marching Band.  In 1987, she married Glen Davis and began working as a retail cashier at Sam’s Club in Midwest City.  She was later promoted to the Membership Desk where she provided customer service and made long lasting friendships.  In 1995, she married Christopher Kevin Cottrell and continued to grow her family.  She completed her career at Sam’s Club after ten years of dedicated service.  In May of 2000, she began her civil service career at Tinker Air Force Base as a Pneudraulic Systems Mechanic working on pyrometers.  The last several years she worked as an Aircraft Electrician on the B-1 Bomber.  Traci was a dedicated civilian employee for more than 21 years.

In her younger years, Traci was an avid softball player and spent a lot of time babysitting. As an adult, her interests included I Love Lucy memorabilia, all things Disney, and Elvis trivia.  She loved eating Mexican food at El Chico, and this is also where she enjoyed spending a lot of time with her family. Her real passion was being a mom, grandma and aunt to numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Traci was truly selfless and caring to everyone in her life and was a mother figure to many.  She was the type of mother that would go without to ensure her children’s needs were always met.  She was a constant, loving presence in her grandchildren’s lives.

Traci is survived by her father Mike Smith, wife Cindy; aunt Gloria Logan; sister Staci Alger; husband Christopher Kevin Cottrell; son Matt Holman and grandson Dillion Holman; daughter Brittni Hays and grandchildren, Lila, Holt, and Maisyn Macias; son Christopher Cottrell, wife Courtney, and granddaughters Mercie and Rylee Cottrell; son Trevor Davis; daughter Krista Cottrell and granddaughter Madilyn Monroe; son Michael Cottrell, wife Emily and grandson Michael (MJ) Cottrell. She had many cousins, nieces, nephews, family members, friends and coworkers who cared for her deeply and her for them.
