Stanley Bartholomew

Stanley “Stan” Bartholomew, of Wetumka, Oklahoma, passed away on June 1, 2022 at the age of 71. Stan was born on July 11, 1950 in Warren, Ohio to Stanley and Evelyn Bartholomew. He graduated from Maplewood High School in 1968. After high school, Stan enlisted in the Air Force Reserves and was proud of his service to his country. He spent some time in Trumbull County Ohio as part of the Mounted Deputy Unit. Stan was very involved with his community and in the youth 4H, overseeing the harness racing. He was also a Trumbull County Fair Board member. He met and married the love of his life, Marsha, in 1988. They were blessed to raise two beautiful children together. Stan was Marsha’s biggest fan in life. He supported her through all of her passions in life, including supporting her at horse shows. He helped anyone he could. At the horse shows he would help others with getting their saddles on the horses and picking up lunches for people. He was a caring man who was so thoughtful and generous. He never met a stranger. Everyone who met him instantly liked him. He was such a genuinely good soul. He worked for Packard Electric for over 30 years. After retirement, Stan and Marsha moved to Westcliffe, Colorado in 2000 and he got to build his dream home in the mountains. While in Colorado he became a Custer County Colorado dispatcher and then a Deputy Sheriff. Stan loved to Elk hunt in Colorado and in New Mexico. He enjoyed skeet shooting and shooting at clay targets. He enjoyed shooting so much he became an NRA firearms instructor and a police qualifying instructor. Stan was a loving and caring son, brother, husband, father, and friend. All who met him are missing him dearly today.

Stan is survived by his wife of 34 years, Marsha; children, Michelle (Jerry) and Joe; grandchildren, Jeremiah and Claytin; siblings, Larry (Mary), Ronald (Margie), Bill (Shelly), and Lynn (Donna); along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Evelyn Bartholomew.
