Santiago Ontiveros-Rangel

Santiago Ontiveros-Rangel, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023 at the age of 74. Santiago was born in Guanajuato, Mexico to Cresencio Ontiveros-Juares and Guadalupe Rangel-Ibarra. He was a very reserved man. He was happiest when he was tending to his plants and loved growing peach trees. He was known for wanting to have a good time with a few drinks and some good music. He kept to himself and enjoyed watching the news. Santiago liked to keep up with what was going on in the world around him. He moved from Mexico to the United States in 1985. He first moved himself because he had the opportunity and once he was established he moved the rest of his family. His family was very important to him and he absolutely adored his grandchildren. He was a very loving and caring son, brother, father, uncle and grandfather and he will be deeply missed.

Santiago is survived by his father, Cresencio Ontiveros; sisters, Felipa Ontiveros, Aurelia Ontiveros, and Irene Ontiveros; children, Jose Ontiveros, Gerardo Ontiveros, Felipa Ontiveros, Maria Minerva, Maria De Jesus, and Flor Ontiveros; along with several additional extended family members and friends.
Santiago was preceded in death by his mother, Guadalupe Rangel-Ibarra; wife, Rosa Ontiveros; and nephew, Roberto Ontiveros.

A visitation and recitation of the Rosary will take place on Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 3pm-8pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 11am, all at Moore Funeral and Cremation. Interment will follow at Heritage Burial Park.
