Samuel Green

Samuel H Green, Moore, Oklahoma – died December 22, 2018. Born January 29, 1935 in Oklahoma City, OK to the late Florence P. Dye Green and Shelby H. Green.


Samuel graduated from Crooked Oak H.S., Oklahoma City, OK in 1953.  Known as ‘Sam’ by many friends & family; a very sweet, caring, generous man who would do anything to help anyone.  He was a very hard worker who never took shortcuts & pushed himself to the limit every day.  Sam was, in his children’s eyes, ‘A Hero’ – someone they as well as others looked up to & could lean on for anything.  He enjoyed watching sports, taking care of his lawn, riding around on his golf cart, working on small projects around the house, hunting, fishing and loved to fly.


Samuel is survived by his loving wife Kay Green of 46 years; daughters, Dana McConnell and Tina Naber; sons, Mike Green and Cody Clark and his wife Aretha Clark; 5 grandsons, Chris Clark, Colton Clark, Dakota Clark, Steven Green, Jeremy Danes; 8 granddaughters, Gracie Clark, Tia Danes, April Hill, Shae Clark, Madison Belle, Gabrielle Clark, Brooke Burge, Victoria Vaughn, Misty Green and numerous great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his mother Florence Green, father Shelby Green, and son Michael Wiedeman.


Funeral Service will be Saturday January 5, 10:00am at Moore Funeral and Cremation, 400 SE19th Street, Moore, Oklahoma 73160.

A reception for family and friends will be held at the home of Cody and Aretha Clark, 2213 NE 15th Street, Moore, OK 73160, Saturday, January 5th from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM.   All are welcomed and encouraged to gather to share stories and memories of Samuel.
