Pauline passed away peacefully in her home after battling Dementia for the past few years at the age of 82.
Born in Pawhuska,Oklahoma to Paul and Delores Charter. Grew up with 4 siblings and graduated high school in Barnsdall Oklahoma. Married and had four children, John, Joe, Jim and Michelle. In 1974 she got a divorce and relocated with her children to the Oklahoma City area where she met the love of her life, Arthur Lee Slaybaugh in 1975. She continued her education at Oklahoma City Community College and gained employment there while attending classes. She worked her way up to accounts payable supervisor where she retired after 23 years of service in 1997.
Pauline loved her family, cooking, sewing and spending time at the casinos. She gave her time generously and would always lend an ear or give an opinion if asked. She touched so many lives, everyone loved her. Even with the battle of Dementia she never lost her sweet, loving disposition.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Delores Charter, son John Paul Davis and son James (Jim) Earl Davis. She is survived by her husband Art Slaybaugh, son Joe Davis (Margy), daughter Michelle Brunsmann (Dave), step daughter Jana Long, step son Jeff Herard (Rhonda). Grandchildren JP Davis, Sherry Davis, Shannon Potts (James), Steven Davis, Cory Davis (RaeDawn), Heath Davis, Kyle Brunsmann and Adam Wells and several great grandchildren.
Pauline was never one that wanted to be center of attention and requested to not have a formal funeral. Therefore, we are celebrating her life with a small come and go reception to say our final goodbyes.
