Nora Elizabeth Ray, 80, of Oklahoma City, OK – died Friday, June 7, 2019.
She was born January 16, 1939 in Dumas, Texas to the late Malcom and Gladys Sweeney.
Nora married Willie D. Ray on August 28, 1955 in Reno, Nevada. The couple made their home in Antioch, CA. Nora worked at the glass container factory, and then at General Motors Corporation, from which she retired in 1998.
In addition to her parents, Nora was preceded in death by her sisters Ruth and Marie, and her brother David Malcom.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Willie D. Ray; children, Willie D. Ray III, Shelly Ray, Larry D. Ray, Carey D. Ray, Jeff D. Ray – and preceded in death by her youngest son Brien D. Ray; also surviving are her grandchildren, Derrick Ray, Elizabeth Adams, Alvin Jr and Bryce Knackstedt, Carol Roberts, Crystal Bushong, Christina, David, Daniel, Sean, Ray William, and Robert Ray, Brittney Wolfle, Jennifer, and Jeffery Ray, Lisa McKenzie, Jonathan and Nika Ray; and many great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Nora will be buried in Fort Sill National Cemetery Tuesday, June 11th at 10:00 AM. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandma, and great-great-grandma.
She will be greatly missed.
