Michael Dewayne Palmer passed away on February 17th 2022 at the age of 51. Michael was born on
April 20, 1970 to James and Thelma Palmer in Atoka, OK. Michael graduated from Choctaw High School
in 1988. Michael's life, unfortunately, would change forever in 1999, with several medical diagnoses and
health issues that he would fight for the rest of his life. Michael met the love of his life, Emilee Dawn
Palmer, on March 10, 2001 and they were married on January 7, 2014. Michael was on dialysis for Renal
failure from 2007 until Christmas Day 2013 when he received the gift of life with a Kidney Transplant.
Michael discovered his love of education later in life and decided to go college. Michael went on to
receive his Associates Degree from Oklahoma City Community College in 2006, his Bachelor in Business
Administration from University of Central Oklahoma in 2008 and his Master of Business Administration
from Oklahoma City University in 2011, along with several certifications. Michael was very proud of all of
his accomplishments despite his several medical setbacks. Michael taught for several years at University
of Central Oklahoma and Rose State as an Adjunct Professor in IT Technology. Michael had worked for
the University of Central Oklahoma as an IT Manager for Adaptive Technology In Disability Support
Services. Michael was the Director in Operations for Project Management, OKC Chapter in 2019-2020.
Michael had worked for several years as an IT Project Manager for Climate Control Group and recently
as Project Program Management Advisor for NTT Data. Michael always cherished his friends and their
mutual camaraderie that he made at every place he worked. Mike loved the Chicago Bears, win or lose,
and NEVER missed a game. Michael always looked forward to going to the movies and dinner once a
week if possible with his best friend Don. Michael loved to travel with his wife, Emilee, and experience
many different cultures and the food. Michael was mostly known as the Worlds Greatest “Uncle Mike”
to his nieces and nephews and the many zoo trips. Michael always had a special relationship with his
nephew Garrett, he loved him unconditionally and cherished the many trips. the memories, and the
talks that they had together. Michael always put his family first in every decision made, he was always
the protector, he was our mentor, you always had his support and more importantly his love and
admiration, you could always depend on him. Michael was most importantly a great dad to his Beagles
(our furbabies) Ellie Mae and Sidney and loved playing with them. Michael will be forever loved and
missed in every way and every day.

Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Palmer. He also preceded in death by his father-inlaw Gary Epler and grandmother-in-law Hollie Mccaulley. Michael is survived by his love (wife) of 21
years Emilee Palmer of Moore, OK; father James Palmer of Choctaw, OK; mother-in-law Sheri Epler of
Moore, OK; brother Jimmy Palmer and wife Chris of Yukon, OK; brother-in-law Ryan Epler and wife Jen
and sons Ethan, Evan and Emmitt of Lexington, OK; sister-in-law Summer Epler of Seattle, WA; sister-inlaw Jennifer Goetz and son Garrett McDonough of Moore, OK; nephew Derrick Palmer of Springtown,
TX; niece Shawnna Rowland and husband Gatlin and daughter Lylia of Springtown, TX; niece Sasha
Palmer and daughter Makayla of Springtown, TX; bonus niece Emma Singer and husband Andrew and
daughters Olivia and Emeri of Midwest City, OK; bonus niece Kaitlyn Raincrow of Moore, OK; bonus
niece Madelyn Raincrow of Moore, OK; and extended family.

Services will be held at Moore Funeral and Cremation on Saturday, February 26th at 2:00 p.m.
