Michael Paul Nitzel of Newalla, Oklahoma, was born March 21th, 1956, to Paul LeRoy Nitzel (deceased) and Natalie Joan Nitzel nee Brainard. He went to his eternal rest June 29th, 2020.
After high school, Mike joined the United States Marine Corps and proudly served for 20 years and remained the epitome of "Once a Marine always a Marine". He continued a career in the aviation field in his civilian life and retired from Tinker Air Force Base.
Mike was an avid sportsman. He like team sports, hunting and fishing. If a friend called upon Mike for help he would be there for them, especially, if he got to use his favorite toy, his tractor. He enjoyed the companionship and comfort of his loyal little Yorkies but his real pride and joy were his sons and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of forty years, Martine (Tina) Nitzel; sons, Jason Meinhardt and his wife Melanie, Shane Nitzel and his wife Mallory, Russell and Tyler Nitzel; grandchildren, Cole, Lilly, Wesley, Heidi Nitzel and Zackary Meinhardt; brother, Perry Nitzel; sister, Vickie Nitzel-Wherry; mother, Natalie Guster and stepmother, Doris O'Neal.
