Marcheta Rodkey

Marcheta Rodkey passed away on November 20, 2020, peacefully in her home. She was born October 22, 1931, in Duncan, OK, to parents Karl M. Frank and Lois E. (Anderson) Frank.

Marcheta was delivered by her grandfather, Dr. Anderson, a country doctor that lived in Moore, OK. Marcheta married George H. Rodkey, Jr. after completing high school in Bethany, OK. She then attended Central State University, now known as Oklahoma Central University, in Edmond, OK. Marcheta graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and was valedictorian of her graduating class.

She was a loving wife, mother and friend. She always had a gently loving spirit willing to pray and encourage everyone she met. Marcheta will be genuinely missed by the ones who loved and knew her.

Marcheta was preceded in death by her ex-husband, George H. Rodkey, Jr.; son, James L. Rodkey; and brother, Karl M. Frank, Jr.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Ann (Frank) Smith and husband, Roger L. Smith; children, Thomas L. Rodkey and wife Dee Ann Rodkey; David A. Rodkey, Timothy D. Rodkey and wife, Cassie (Douqe’) Rodkey; Lois A (Rodkey) Adkins and husband, Richard H. Adkins, Jr.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
