Loma Jean Niemsyk went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2021. She was born on July 26, 1928, in Wayne, Oklahoma to Luther and Essie Mae Jones.
Jean spent her life dedicated to her family and spreading the message of Jesus. She and her late husband, Robert “Bob” Niemsyk spent many years teaching Sunday School to children and adults. They worked with the Webb family as co-founders of “Santa’s Cause”, an annual charity that ensured families in poverty received a visit from Santa and Christmas meals. She and Bob traveled all over the world with friends.
Jean’s laugh was infectious, and her love for all people was evident in her daily life. Jean was an avid OU football fan and loved the Oklahoma City Thunder. She will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her and got to experience the joy she spread daily.
Jean is survived by her children, Terry and Dana Brown of Georgia; Moe and Melita Brown of Oklahoma City; Sherri Ridley of Oklahoma City, and Jeanita Jurrens.
Jean had 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
