Lois Dee Hood

Lois Dee Hood passed from this life on December 9, 2018 at the age of 92. She was born March 27, 1926 in Francis, Oklahoma to Roy and Nancy Coffee.

Lois married Junior Preston Lee on September 20, 1941 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. From this marriage, they were blessed with 3 children, Doris Ann Hinkle, Glenn Lee, and Leroy Lee. Lois and Junior were blessed with 36 years of marriage before his passing on May 2, 1978.

Twelve years later, Lois married Riley D. Hood on November 19, 1990 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Shortly after, Riley and Lois moved to Oklahoma, where they would spend the next 25 years together. They were blessed with 26 years of marriage before Riley’s passing on February 6, 2017.

Lois enjoyed country and western dancing, jewelry-making, and loved the color turquoise. She cherished her family and found great joy in every moment spent with them. Lois will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Edward Coffee and Nancy Coffee (Chandler); loving husband of 36 years, Junior Preston Lee; loving husband of 25 years, Riley Dover Hood; daughter, Doris Ann Hinkle; brother, J.E. Coffee; and sisters, Catherine Hobbs and Shirley Bilbo.

Those left to carry on her legacy include her sons, Leroy Lee and wife Gayle of North Port, FL and Glenn Lee and wife Ronda of Edmond, OK; granddaughters, Jessie Bowman of Norman, Sandi Freeman of Yukon, Lisa Boydston of Edmond, Casey Deja of Chicago, IL, Corey Napier of Kansas City, MO, and Brandy Barnes of Clarksville, TN; She is also survived by 4 great-grandsons, 6 great-granddaughters, and a host of loving extended family and friends.

Lois will be laid to rest at Fort Sill National Cemetery. The family will arrange private services for a later date.
