Linda Jean Jones

68, of Oklahoma City – passed peacefully April 5th, 2017. She was born in Pratt, Kansas on January 27, 1949 to the late Alva and Ruth Juanita (Spence) Barnhart.


Linda worked as a realtor in the 1980’s before becoming an escrow office manager and Assistant Vice President of American Eagle Title Insurance Group, retiring in 2014. She graduated in 1966 from San Fernando Valley High School, living in southern California before moving to Oklahoma in 1981. She was loved by her family, friends, colleagues and co-workers as well as her dogs Boozer, Mindy, Odie and Buddy. She touched and affected the lives of so many people in a positive and loving way.


She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Larry Barnhart.


Linda is survived by her loving husband, Steve Chambers; brother Les Barnhart and wife Pam; sons, Bryan Jones and wife Stephanie, Stephen Jones and Wendy Spinale, daughter Amy Shepard and husband Aaron. Grandchildren Austin and wife Taylor, Tyler and wife Brittani, Megan, Erik, and Alyssa. Great grandchildren: Emmalee, Avery, Summerlin, Emery, and Kamberlyn; nephews Douglas, Gregory, Jeffery, and David Barnhart and special friends Debbie Davidson and Mary Berry.


Visitation will be Saturday, April 8th from 1:00pm to 8:00pm at Moore Funeral Home, 400 SE 19th street, Moore OK.

Funeral service will be Monday, April 10thth at 2:00pm, officiated by Scott Bulmer with graveside service following at Resthaven Cemetery in southwest Oklahoma City, OK.
