Lillian Bell

August 29, 1932 ~ May 9, 2018 (age 85) 85 Years Old

Tribute

Lillian Ruth Storie Bell awoke on the morning of Wednesday, May 09, 2018, in the presence of her Savior with a clear mind ready to worship and a body made whole! Born August 29, 1932, to Lemuel Earl Storie and Ruth Elizabeth Carr Storie, Lillian learned her tenacious work ethic and perfected her many talents of cooking, sewing, cake decorating, macramé, ceramics, playing the piano and singing gospel music from an early age.  All of those things carried her through a life well-lived and made meaningful by her love of the Lord, her family and her many friends adopted as family.  She lived to serve and care for others as she was taught so well by her parents and scripture. Lillian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother (Ma), daughter, and sister.  She fiercely loved and served her family for whom her pride was constantly apparent.  Her character and integrity were above reproach.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years and caregiver, Royce Bell of Norman; her daughter, Pamela Bell Harrell and husband Kerry of Norman; her son, Derryl Bell and wife Tonya of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grand children, and 1 great great grandson. Also surviving her are sisters: Wanda Stevens & husband David, Joy Turner, and Pat James; brothers Earl Glen Storie, Joe Storie, and James Storie and wife DeeDee, as well as a host of loving nieces and nephews.

In life, Lillian’s absence leaves a hole that will never be filled. And in death, she leaves a legacy that can never be equaled.
