Lewis “Louie” Hatfield, 80, Moore--died April 26, 2019. Born September 30 1938 in Hayes, KS to the late Lewis Hatfield and Joan (Rupp) Hatfield. Louie left for the Army in 1956 before graduating high school. He did two tours in Vietnam where he served as Mess Hall Sfc for Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 21st Infantry, 24th Infantry Division. Louie retired from the Army in 1976 then worked as a machinist at Tinker Air Force Base for 20 years before retiring.
Louie is survived by his wife Kay Hatfield, daughter Evelyn Smithies, son Clifford Hatfield, daughter Shannon Hazen, son Aaron Hatfield, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Diane Hatfield, granddaughter Kirsten Hatfield, sisters Bonnie Hatfield Pless, Kay Hatfield Wellbrock, and brothers Kenneth Hatfield, Donald Hatfield and Charles Hatfield.
Funeral Service will be Monday, April 29th at 7:30 p.m. at Moore Funeral and Cremation, 400 S.E. 19th Moore, Oklahoma 73160. Viewing begins at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Full military honors and graveside service for the family will be scheduled at a later date.
