Levi Derrick Smith, 36, of Oklahoma City, passed away unexpectedly on May 31, 2018. He was born January 16, 1982 in Oklahoma City to Vicki Hobert and Richard “Rick” Rice.
Levi grew up in Oklahoma City and attended Southeast High School, where he was active in wrestling. He loved basketball and was an avid OKC Thunder fan. His favorite football teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the OSU Cowboys. Levi’s favorite hobby was fishing and he could fish anywhere there was water. He also enjoyed drawing and was fascinated in music. When he wasn’t at home doing one of these things, he was riding his bike. He could ride across town anywhere he wanted to go and always had different bikes that he would show up on. Levi loved his family and friends and above all, loved his children to the moon and always wanted the very best for them.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wendell Smith; cousin, Kenneth Smith; and grandfather, Victor Rice.
Survivors include his children, Levi Smith, Jr., Olevia Smith, Elizabeth Smith, Wendy Smith, Maddison Smith, Noah Smith, and Jeremy Vasquez, all of OKC; the mother of his children, Misti Smith; mother, Vicki Hobert of OKC; father, Richard “Rick” Rice of Ada; sister, Crystal Robertson and Eric of OKC; grandparents, Richard and Virginia Sanders of OKC and Venita Jo Rice of Ada; nephew, Jordan Robertson of OKC; and best friends, DeShaun Wells and Michael Houston.
