Kathy Jo Sherga

Kathy Jo Davis Sherga, age 62, passed away peacefully September 19, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by her family.

She was born December 8, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to W.J. "Dub" and Wanda Mae Davis of Moore, Oklahoma.

Her childhood was very special and unique in that her mother was an identical twin. She enjoyed spending her time with her mom and aunt who were almost impossible to tell apart. This made life fun in many ways. She would often reminisce on all of the memories she and her cousins made with Mae and Faye. During those years she developed a love for horses, music, and writing and found solace in them.

After graduation and years spent at home with her girls, she dedicated her life and time to working with the students of Highland East Junior High with Moore Public Schools. There wasn't a student whose life she didn't have an impact on. She also was one of the best softball/basketball moms around....her love of the Jammers, Magic, and Drillers was evident in everything she did.

Her life was also a living example of her unwavering faith and love for others, especially her family. She was an incredible mother, aunt, and sister....BUT, her most beloved job was being a Granna K to her 'grands' as she would call them. And life sure was grand when Granna was around.

Kathy is survived by her sister Rilda Gordon and husband John of Moore. Daughter Morgan Musson and wife Kandice of Oklahoma City. Daughter Lindsay Nelson and husband Matt of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Nieces Malisa Goucher and family of Phoenix, Arizona and Tiffany Johnston and her girls of Norman, Oklahoma. Grandchildren Milan McGill of Oklahoma City, Whitney & Goldie Musson of Oklahoma City, Jaxon, Selah, Sophie, and Jude Nelson of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She is preceded in death by her parents, W.J. & Mae Davis, cousins Nancy Clifton, Rhonda (Clifton) Sanders, and Phylis Sargent along with numerous aunts and uncles.
