Juanita D. Jefferson, 85, of Moore, entered her heavenly home January 25, 2018 at the age of 85. She was born February 11, 1932 in Konawa, OK to Charles Harjo and Stella Hill.
Juanita grew up at Goodland Indian Orphanage near Hugo, OK. She worked at General Motors as a welder and retired from there. Juanita loved attending her great-grandchildren’s sports events and would work the concession stand at their softball and baseball games. Her favorite hobby was visiting the senior center where she played Dominos. She also enjoyed Checkers and Crossword Puzzles.
Juanita was a long-time member of First Indian Baptist Church of Moore and loved her church family. She taught Sunday school there and enjoyed telling others about God’s word.
Juanita’s family meant the most to her and she enjoyed having everyone together.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Harjo and Stella Hill; and her loving husband of more than 40 years, Jimmie B. Jefferson.
She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Prieto of Moore; grandchildren, Franklin and Robert Prieto, both of Moore; great-grandchildren, Jimmie Prieto, Andrea Prieto, and Kristen Prieto, of Moore and Derek Hodge of Oklahoma City; great-great grandchildren, Saryia West, Auvionna West, Kinsley Hodge, and Lexi Hodge; brother, Rusty; and sisters, Sara and Betty Jo; she is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Visitation for Juanita will be 4:00pm-8:00pm, Monday, January 29, 2018 at Moore Funeral and Cremation, 400 SE 19th St. Moore, OK 73160.
