John (Bob) Robert Staunton – age 70 went to meet Jesus on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. John was born on September 7, 1951, in Mount Vernon, OH.
John was a Veteran of the US Air Force, and served our country for 15 years. He was an active member of the American Legion in Fort Myers, FL where he volunteered as bingo caller.
John was married to Kathy Staunton for 36 years. John and Kathy met, and were married in Colorado Springs, CO. John and Kathy loved to travel, some of their adventures took them to Italy for 2 years while John was in the Air Force. They lived in Albuquerque, NM eventually move to Oklahoma City, OK until Kathy retired from Hertz. They lived the dream, and traveled with an RV for 8 years living or visiting in, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Arizona, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Florida.
John loved to cook for others, fish, crossword puzzles, sing Karaoke, and spend time with Kathy. John was always willing to help others, and love to host parties at his house in Oklahoma City, OK.
John is survived by his wife: Kathy Staunton, his son: Shannon Staunton, and his stepchildren by marriage Daniel Ryan, William Ryan Jr. and Michelle Moore. John also has many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. John is survived by Sister: Pamela Pyle, Brother: Harry Staunton, Brother: Walter (Pete) Staunton, and Edwin Staunton.
Preceded in death by his father: Joseph Staunton, mother: Mary Staunton, and Brother: Joseph Staunton Jr.
John’s ashes will be laid to rest in Ohio alongside his mother, and father.
