Jimmy Ray Stout, November 6, 1949 - March 1, 2018, Oklahoma City, OK
Jim “Papa Jim” beloved husband, father, and grandfather, age 68, has gone to be with his Heavenly Father. He was born in Sulphur, OK to Arlie and Audrey Stout.
Jim graduated from Ardmore High School in 1967. He then proudly served in the US Navy for 5 years. Jim worked in the oil and gas and grocery industries for many years. He most recently worked as a Service Adviser at David Stanley Ford, Midwest City where his coworkers considered his automobile customer service the ”gold standard” in the industry. Jim was a devoted member at Oakcrest Church of Christ. He was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating, golfing, and even yard work. Jim was a positive influence and an encouragement to everyone who knew him.
Jim is survived by Glenda, his loving wife of 49 years; daughters & sons-in-law, Erin and Joe Woods, Kelly and Phil Thompson; son Jace Stout; granddaughters, Sawyer Woods and Olivia Thompson; grandsons, Parker and Easton Thompson; brother Benny and wife Jeannie Stout; sister-in-law Kathy and husband Scott Davis; brother-in-law David Anders; nieces Cheri Robinson, Holly Sandberg, Kailee Davis; nephew Connor Davis, and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie and Audrey Stout.
Services to celebrate his life will be Tuesday, March 6th at 2:00 pm at Oakcrest Church of Christ. Viewing hours will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, March 5th at Moore Funeral and Cremation, 400 S.E. 19th Street, Moore, OK 73160.
The family has requested donations be made directly to the Stephenson Cancer Center, 800 N.E. 10th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104.
