Jimmie “Jim” Ray Kauff 72, Moore – died July 15, 2019. Born February 6, 1947 in Miami, Oklahoma to the late Jim Eugene Kauff and Evelyn Mary (Cheney) Pappan.
He is a Veteran of the Vietnam War where he earned a Silver Star, Two Bronze Stars, Three Purple Hearts, Presidential Unit Citation, and various other awards and medals. During his six years, he was on one of the first sniper teams in the 1st Recon Division, performed Embassy guard duty in Brazil, and then was a drill instructor at MCRD San Diego.
Jim spent a majority of his career as a butcher and meat inspector for the State of Oklahoma. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, Tae Kwon Do, and gold prospecting.
He is survived by his son Jimmie (Kristie)Kauff, Jr; granddaughter Bailey Kauff; sister Linda (Pat) Culvey; aunt Wanda (Denis) Murphy; former spouse Vanda Kauff.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-brothers, Jeff and Terry Pappan.
Memorial Service will be Thursday, July 25th at 4:00 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home, 400 SE 19th Street, Moore, OK.
