Jeremy Thomas Bevel

July 19, 1971 ~ June 5, 2018 (age 46) 46 Years Old

Tribute

Jeremy Thomas Bevel, 46, of Moore, passed from this life June 5, 2018. He was born July 19, 1971 in Edmond, Oklahoma to Tom Bevel and Catheryn Chandler (Bates). He grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma and attended Lawton High School. He obtained his GED in Oklahoma City and worked as a dispatch manger at 858-ToGo for about 16 years.

Jeremy was blessed with his first daughter, Brittani, on May 29, 1993. He was later blessed with another daughter, Haylie, on September 3, 1996. Jeremy loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Every year he looked forward to the 4th of July family celebration. He was also a firearm fanatic and loved firearms of all kinds. He frequently went to the shooting range and passed his love for guns on to those he loved. Although he loved watching all sports, he was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and OU Sooners fan.

Jeremy was an amazing person with a huge heart, but like many, he struggled with an evil addiction. He had battled with alcoholism for several years before it finally took total control of his life, and eventually stole him from his family and all those who love him. Although we will miss him each and every day, our prayer is that anyone who knew and loved him will create a legacy to him; A legacy to help others who are struggling with alcohol addiction; a legacy to get the help you need if you are in his shoes; a legacy to give hope to those who see none.  That is truly the best way that we can and will continue to honor him.

Survivors include his parents, Catheryn Chandler of Lawton, OK and Tom and Elizabeth Bevel of Norman, OK; daughters, Brittani Gatewood and Kirk of Moore, OK and Haylie Coats of Glenpool, OK; sister, Dawn Moore and Mike of Moore, OK; brother, Cody Bevel and Morgan Williams of Norman, OK; grandchild, Boston Gatewood; aunt, Carolyn Howell; nephews, Aaron Moore and A.J. Moore and Sydney Baber; best friends, Jerry Hickman and Jennifer and Gary Colvin; he is also survived by a host of loving extended family and friends.

Jeremy’s family will be having a private memorial service at a later date. Feel free to sign the online guestbook and share your favorite memories with his family.
