For some reason I was thinking about Mr. Henson today. So I thought I would look him up. I'm terribly sorry to find that he has passed. He was a great man. I knew him from his days teaching science at Sentinel High School. He was one of my favorite teachers. Knowing how strong his faith was I know I will be seeing him again. My sincere condolences go out to his family. You lost a great man.

I just found out about Jim’s passing, and I’m so sorry to hear the news. I have many fond memories of him from the good old days at the Altus Times — before we both decided we’d be better off teaching. Jim was a good man, and I know he turned out to be a wonderful father. I pray that God blesses your family with comfort and peace.

I meet Jim in OKC at a funeral for his Aunt. I am a friend of Sue Henson. He was very nice and spend time talking to me. I really enjoyed our conversations. I am so sorry for the family but heaven got another good one. Blessings

Jim was the best man I've ever met, he was my youth leader, assistant pastor, mentor, role model but most importantly my friend. This world is truly a sadder place without him. So sad I didn't get to say good bye.

Your dad was one of the kindest people. He put his family first and students came next. He helped me my first year at HWJH and was a wonderful teacher. I miss our brief talks between classes. He and I would make each other laugh and always had an answer for any problem or situation. He loved his students and wanted them all to succeed. I am here for you anytime you need someone to listen.
