Gregory Wright

Gregory Lynn Wright, 64, of Moore, Oklahoma passed from this life January 8, 2019. He was born on July 22, 1954 to the late Roger Lee Wright and GeorgeAnna (Vosper) Wright.

He graduated from Moore High School in the year 1972. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in accounting in 1976. He entered the restaurant business in 1966 and fell in love with serving people.

Greg married the love of his life, Norma Gean Jones, on April 19, 1980. He was the father of three great children and found so much joy in spending time with them. He loved serving the Lord and was a great student and teacher of His word. He loved cooking, gardening, playing with his many dogs, giving his time to the church, spending time with his family, and sports; he loved watching unlimited hours of golf, the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball, and he dearly loved watching his Oklahoma Sooner football. He lived his life unashamed of his faith. He would share the gospel to every soul he met.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and GeorgeAnna Wright; siblings, Shirley Ann and Stephen Roger Wright; aunt, Marjorie Thrasher and husband Ray; and uncle, Roy Lievsay.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years; son, Daniel Nicholas Wright and wife Wendy of Moore, Oklahoma; son, Zachary Jordan Wright and wife Candace of Moore, Oklahoma; daughter, Lindsay Allison Wright of Moore, Oklahoma and boyfriend Blake Looney of Hitchcock, Oklahoma; aunt, Oleta Lievsay; and nephew, Jimmy Jones, who spent countless hours helping to love and care for Greg and his family when they needed it the most. He is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nephews, and many amazing friends and neighbors who have went above and beyond to help the family.

The family would like to acknowledge their sincere appreciation for Interim Hospice; Kaci, Derrick, Rebecca, Chaplain Jon, and Lisa continuously strived to love and care for the family and helped them through such a difficult time. In addition, a special thanks to Dr. Patrick Lo and his office staff who have spent many years providing Greg with the best possible care, kindness, and love.

Visitation for Greg is 1:00pm to 8:00pm, Friday, January 11, 2019 at Moore Funeral and Cremation, 400 SE 19th St. Moore, OK 73160. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Services to honor Greg’s life are 11:00am, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the chapel of Moore Funeral and Cremation. Interment will follow at Moore City Cemetery.
