Fred George Dimick was age 78 and passed away in his home on Thursday, August 1st, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born on January 2nd, 1941 in Montrose, Michigan to Fred and Fern (Pietsch) Dimick. He graduated from Oscoda Highschool in 1959 and then attended Ferris State College where he earned an Automotive Mechanic Certification. Fred worked as a mechanic until 1981, then went on to work as a contractor with the United States Postal Service. Following, he started his own sand and gravel company called D&D Trucking.


He met the love of his life, Letha Roena Adkisson, in 1969 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and married her on July 11th, 1970. He was a loving and patient father to four children and a devoted husband for 49 years. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1971 and continued to follow Christ throughout his life. Fred was a hard-working man who loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed working with his hands: tinkering around in the garage and fixing cars. Fred also loved being on the water: skiing, swimming, and boating.


Fred was preceded in death by his mother and father, and his sister, Merva.


He is survived by his loving wife, Roena, his four children; Michael Stout, Renee Richardson, Shannon Krohmer, Keri Deeter and his sons in law; Clyde Richardson, Mike Krohmer, Duane Deeter and daughter-in-law, LeeAnn Stout, twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three sisters, Sandra Luther, Peggy Godt and Sherrie Moreau, five nieces and six nephews.


The memorial service will be held at Moore Funeral & Cremation, 400 SE 19th Street, Moore, on Thursday, August 8th at 3:00pm.
