Forrest Lee, 83, passed away Tuesday, December 31st, 2019, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born February 17, 1936 in Ada, Oklahoma, the son of Everet and Dorothy Lee. Forrest graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City in 1954. He married Joyce “Jo” Lee on September 9, 1961.
Forrest served in the United States Army in his early adult years. He was employed as a sheet metal worker/aircraft mechanic at Tinker Air Force Base for 35 ½ years. A lifetime resident of the area, Forrest was an avid OU fan who enjoyed rooting for his Sooners. He was a faithful church member at First Baptist Church of Moore, where he served as a deacon and security greeter for many years. He was preceded in death by his loving spouse of 42 years, Joyce “Jo” Lee, his parents and his brothers, Darwin Lee and Darrell Lee. He is survived by his son Greg Lee and wife Barbara of Oklahoma City, OK and his grandchildren Levi Lee of Norman, OK; Lauren Lee-Fatkin and husband Jared of Oklahoma City, OK and Alexandra “Lexa” Lee of Oklahoma City, OK.
Forrest will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew him. He will be fondly remembered for his kind, gentle spirit and quiet humor with a little bit of a mischievous side.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 6, 2020 at Moore Funeral and Cremation Chapel in Moore, Oklahoma. Interment is to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
