Dennis Gene Booth

Dennis Gene Booth, of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022 at the age of 72. Dennis was born on June 30, 1950 in Des Moines, Iowa to Keith Russell Booth and Marilee Booth (Taylor). He was very much a family man. His family was absolutely everything to him. He was blessed to fall in love with and marry his best friend, Vicki Whitehead. Together they raised three beautiful children and were blessed with two grandchildren as well. Dennis embraced the life of a dad and grandpa and was wonderful at both. He loved to take his children out to the airport to sit and watch the planes take off and land, creating wonderful memories for his children to cherish for life. Dennis would even stop along the highway to allow his children to pet the horses that would be at the farms they passed.  He took great joy in family vacations and spending quality time with his grandchildren.  He was such a selfless person. He always put others before himself.  If anyone needed anything he was there to help.  Christmas was one of his favorite times of the year and he loved to shower his family with heartfelt gifts. Dennis found Christ and became a Christian when he was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ in 2015. Other than spending time with his family, Dennis enjoyed bowling. He loved being on his bowling league and has bowled since he was a child. He also really enjoyed his job at Fowler Toyota and retired only a few short years ago.  He was a wonderful friend to anyone who was blessed to have him in their life. Dennis was a very loving, caring, and devoted Christian, son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend and he will be truly missed.

Dennis is survived by his former spouse and best friend, Vicki Whitehead; children, Dennis Gene Booth Jr., Angela Renee (and spouse Brian) Mowles, and Murray Ray Andrew Booth; grandchildren, Luke Evan Mowles and Hannah Rose Mowles; sister, Sandra Booth; along with many additional colleagues and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Keith Russell Booth and Marilee Booth (Taylor); and brother, Steven James Booth.

A visitation will be held from 5pm – 8pm on Thursday, July 28, 2022 with a funeral service taking place at 1pm on Friday, July 29, 2022, all at Moore Funeral and Cremation. Interment will follow the funeral service at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell, Oklahoma.
