Clarence Oliver Anderson

Clarence (Andy) Anderson, 72 year old Oklahoma City resident, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at his home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Moore Funeral and Cremation in Moore, Oklahoma.
Clarence Oliver Anderson, known to many as Andy, was born in Shattuck, Oklahoma on December 18, 1946. He was the son of Joseph Clarence Anderson and Ione (Barton) Anderson. He grew up in Buffalo, Oklahoma and lived in Selah, Washington for several of his early years before returning to Buffalo when he was around 8 years old. He graduated from Buffalo High School with the class of 1966.
Clarence was united in marriage to Sandra White on May 4, 1969. They were blessed with a daughter Stephanie Lynn and a son Bryan Wade.
Clarence was united in marriage to Debra (Bolton) Swallow on January 15, 1993.Debra brought a son to their relationship and Clarence was step-father to Justin Wayne Swallow.
Clarence entered the United States Air Force on December 12, 1966 and provided 4 years, 1 month and 24 days of honorable service. Clarence was very proud of his service to his country.
After the Air Force, Clarence worked at Gibson’s in the retail business for a short time, before moving to oilfield sales that he enjoyed for the majority of his career. He owned and operated Energy Oilfield Supply in Woodward, Oklahoma for a number of years in the 1980s and 1990s and owned Just for Men in Woodward providing a great line of men’s clothing from 1998 to 2000, before returning to oilfield sales.
Clarence was an avid OSU fan, watching and supporting each and every football game, he loved to hunt, train pointer bird dogs, fish, visit with family and friends and play with his grandchildren.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Debra, of the home; daughter Stephanie Anderson of The Village, Oklahoma; son, Bryan Anderson and wife Amber of Norman, Oklahoma ; step-son Justin Swallow of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren Abigail Swallow of Fort Scott, Kansas, Katelynn Anderson and Wyatt Anderson of Norman, Oklahoma, other relatives and many special friends.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph (Joe) and Ione Anderson and his sister, Jacquetta Harper.
