Buddy W Chester
July 1, 1943 ~ February 24, 2018 (age 74) 74 Years OldBuddy Wayne “Bud” Chester, 74 of Bridge Creek, OK passed Saturday, February 24, 2018 peacefully at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Bud was born July 1, 1943 in Watonga, OK, and was one of ten children born to the late John William Chester and Emma Faye (Gilbert) Chester.
Bud graduated from Lookeba Sickles High School in Lookeba, OK in 1961, and worked as a Police Officer for the Anadarko Police Department early on in his career before becoming a truck driver for Braum’s Ice Cream and Dairy until he retired. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Leon Chester, Ray Chester, Harold Chester, John “Sonny” Chester, and his sisters, Bessie Grissell, Irene Scott, and great-grandson, Will Stidham.
Bud is survived by his long-time companion Glenna Fuller; daughter, Lisa A. Martin; son, Steven W. Chester; grandchildren, Ashley B. Losey, Adam W. Stidham, Amanda A. Phillips, Andrea’ L. Challis, Brandon W. Stouder Chester, Robert D. Martin II; sisters, Wanda Caldwell and Carol Kerner; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Bud is also survived by Glenna Fuller’s children, Cindy Rush, Brenda Wright; and her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral and Cremation, 400 SE 19th Street, Moore, OK 73160; (405) 794-7600. Family will be present between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM during visitation hours.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Moore Funeral and Cremation. Interment will follow in Newcastle Memorial Gardens in Newcastle, OK.
