Brian J Zinn

Brian Joel Zinn, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at the age of 46. Brian was born on January 17, 1976 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Joel Zinn and Sondra Wathen (Ford). Brian had an immense passion for life and LIVING. He wanted to live life to the absolute fullest. He had many health issues throughout his life, but he never let that stop him from doing anything he wanted to do. He was grateful and determined to make the most out of his second chance at life when he received a kidney/pancreas transplant in 2009. He enjoyed his career as a service manager for Lander’s Chevrolet, and he had his pilot’s license. He loved his Glasair that he purchased last year, and he flew it every opportunity that he had. He was excited to have recently joined the Quiet Birdmen club to fly with other pilots and get to see sights most people never get to see. He loved to travel, and he enjoyed going to concerts. Music was a big part of his life, with one of his favorite’s being 80’s Rock. Brian also had a fondness for motorcycles. He adored his family and was blessed to have met and married the absolute love of his life, Tara Zinn, in 1997. Together they shared 25 beautiful years of adventure. Brian was a very loving, caring, funny, and devoted son, brother, husband, and friend who will be truly missed by everyone.

Brian is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 25 years, Tara Zinn; his mother, Sondra Wathen (Ford); his father, Joel Zinn and his wife, Georgene; his siblings, David Howland, and his wife, Kasie; Jacob Zinn, and his wife Savannah; and Jillian King and her husband Ron; his beloved black lab, Shadow; along with a plethora of friends.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruth Ford and Beatrice and Raymond Zinn.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 5pm – 7pm, with a funeral service to take place on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 10am, both at Moore Funeral and Cremation.
