Bonnie Mulkey

Bonnie Ann Mulkey, 90 of Moore, OK passed away on Wed., June 1, 2022.  She was born February 17, 1932, in Tulsa, OK to Robert and Elsie Sellers.

Bonnie grew up in Qualls, OK.  The Sellers moved to Wewoka, OK and that is where Bonnie met Marvin while dragging Main Street. They married on May 14, 1954, after knowing each other only 3 weeks. They were married 40 short years before his death.

Bonnie was a member of Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Oklahoma City.  Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, fishing, and camping with all her brothers and sisters and Marvin’s brothers and sister. She and Marvin gardened and canned and traveled during his retirement years. In later years, she thoroughly enjoyed all the exciting and memorable road trips with her sisters, nieces, and daughter that Nora, her niece, organized.  Bonnie looked forward each year to the Mulkey & Seller’s family reunions. Her favorite games were Aggravation and Farkle which she played often with her sisters Vera and Dorothy. She was an immaculate housekeeper, excellent cook and the BEST mom a boy and girl could ever have!

Preceding Bonnie in death are her parents; her husband Marvin; siblings, Josie Cook, Charlie Sellers, Bill Sellers, Ada Belle Ward, Lillie Mae Sellers, and Bud Sellers.

Surviving her are her son, Ron and his wife, Leah of Duncan; her daughter, Teresa Brown and her husband, Carl of Moore’;Grandchildren, Greg and Jennifer Mulkey, Edmond, Alissa and Patrick Hemphill, Duncan, Curtis and his fiancée, Bailee, Edmond, and Meridith Mulkey, Dothan, Alabama; Great grandsons, Max and Kael Mulkey, Edmond; Sisters, Vera Torix of Tahlequah and Dorothy Weston of Moore; and Many nieces and nephews and special friends. She loved and was very grateful for her caregivers, Patsy Gray and Karen Riedel.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 2pm at Moore Funeral and Cremation. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
