Tribute

Betty Jo Starbuck, 78, of Oklahoma City passed from this life May 10, 2018. She was born April 26, 1940 to Roy and Mabel Gilbreath (Layhay) in Boswell, Oklahoma.

Betty Jo grew up and lived in Oklahoma City and worked at the Snug Lounge for about 50 years total. She knew almost everyone in the neighborhood and always had someone at her house for coffee and chatting. Her front porch was always open to anyone who needed someone to talk to or to hang out with. When she wasn’t at home, you could probably bet that she was at the casino. Going to Newcastle Casino was one of her favorite hobbies and she enjoyed spending time there with family and friends. She also loved the OU Sooners and enjoyed routing for the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Dallas Cowboys.

Betty Jo’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and her very best friends, Sherry, Angie, Susie, Bertha, and Virginia. She loved going to cookouts with family and friends and spoiled all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved and spoiled her 2 dogs, Boomer and Cooper. Betty Jo will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl O. Caudle; son, Jack Patton; brothers, Ed Gilbreath, Tommy Gilbreath, Jimmy Gilbreath and Charles Gilbreath; and sister, Elizabeth Harp.
