Bettie Drunell Billips

Bettie Drunell Wharton Billips, age 82, of Moore, Oklahoma passed from this life on November 5, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on April 10, 1939 to Maxie, and Sadie (Holder) Wharton in Soper, Oklahoma. She attended school in Soper, and graduated in 1957. She married Waymon Carter in 1958, Bill Prince in 1969, and Eldon Billips in 1983. She spent most of her time as a homemaker in Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Hill City, Kansas. She loved gardening, crocheting, sewing, cats, and crafts in general. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Billips, her parents, Maxie, and Sadie Wharton, a sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Cecil Sawyers, and a sister-in-law, Shirley Wharton. She spent her last years in Moore, Oklahoma to be closer to her family. Surviving children, Melinda Nicholson (Mike) of Moore, Oklahoma, Jeffery Carter (Kim) of Moore, Oklahoma, Russell Carter (LaVonda) of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Teresa Stinemetz (Eric) of Pace, Florida. Two brothers, Herbert Wharton, of Lane, Oklahoma, and Dewene Wharton, and wife Reta of Valliant, Oklahoma, 11 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, and nephews. A short Memorial Service will be held at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Soper, Oklahoma on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 11am.
