Riley Dover Hood, USN, Ret., age 80, of Oklahoma City, passed away February 6, 2017 in Norman.  He was born November 8, 1936 in Ector County, Texas, the son of James and Lerna (Dover) Hood.  Riley had lived in Oklahoma City for the last 25 years, moving here from Las Cruces, New Mexico.  He proudly served his country as a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy, retiring after 20 years of service.  Riley enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, hunting and fishing.  He also enjoyed Country and Western dancing.  Riley and his wife Lois were united in marriage on November 19, 1990 in Las Cruces.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-daughter, Doris Hinkle.  He is survived by his wife Lois of Oklahoma City; step-sons, Glenn Lee and wife Ronda of Edmond and Leroy Lee and wife Gayle of Punta Gorda, Florida; grandchildren, Casey Deja, Corey Napier, Jessie Bowman and Sandi Freeman.  Private services will be held at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin.
