Mary Frances Roy passed from this life November 28, 2017 at the age of 91 surrounded by family and friends. She was born August 12, 1926 in New Orleans, LA to Curtis Westmoland, Sr. and Winnie (Langdon).
Mary was a member of First Indian Baptist Church in Moore and loved her church family. She lived a Christian life and was always active in church activities. She also enjoyed making and selling Indian Crafts at Pow-Wows while her husband danced.
She met the love of her life, James “Jim” Roy, Jr. in New Orleans at a USO dance during WWII. They married December 4, 1943 and enjoyed 51 blessed years of marriage before Jim’s passing in 1994.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Winnie Westmoland; her brother, Curtis Westmoland, Jr.; and her husband, James “Jim” Roy, Jr.
Mary is survived by her children, James Lee Roy III of New Orleans, Thomas Jay Roy of Moore, Donna Kathleen Roy of Moore, and David Wayne Roy of Edmond; grandchildren, Don, Gaea, Sarah, and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Allyson, William, Elizabeth, Chayton, Cheyenne, Evie, and Carson; great-great grandchildren, Samuel and Oliver; and she is also survived by a host of loving extended family and friends.
Visitation for Mary will be Monday, December 4th from 9:00AM to 12:00PM at Moore Funeral and Cremation. Services are 2:00PM, Monday, December 4th at First Indian Baptist Church of Moore, 2610 S Broadway Ave, Moore, OK 73160
