Karen Kay Martin, 65, of Oklahoma City, passed away January 29, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born February 28, 1951 in Oklahoma City, the daughter of Bill and Wanda (Franklin) Lancaster.   She lived and touched lives in Oklahoma City most of her life. Karen worked in Customer Service and enjoyed Native American arts and decor, decorating, reading, sewing, crafts and watching softball.  She also enjoyed traveling and spent many summers with her family camping at Turner Falls.  She was affiliated with Victory Church.  Karen was preceded in death by her father, Bill Lancaster; grandparents, Fred and Laura Franklin; granddaughter Renee Santellanes and her stepsister, Kathy Bartlett.  She is survived by her mother, Wanda McAuliffe of Oklahoma City; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Mariah Ashbacher of Oklahoma City; daughters and son-in-law, Lori and Tommy Castro of Oklahoma City, Shauna Parker of Mustang and Leya Parker of Daphne, AL; brother, Gerald Lancaster of McLoud; stepbrother, Donny Bartlett and wife, Debra of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Dennis Avery, Christopher Parker, Christian Ashbacher, James Stevens, Nicholas Stevens, Parker Ashbacher, Zachary Schindler, Ashley Castro, Madison Ashbacher, Abby Castro and Hannah Parker; and many other special relatives and friends, including her uncle and aunt, John and Tena Franklin of Edmond, OK, their daughter Mary Franklin; and her best friend of 40 years, Verna Patterson, who was like a sister to her.  Memorial services will be held Monday, February 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Moore Funeral & Cremation.
