   James “Jim” Byron Davis, 75, of Moore, Oklahoma passed peacefully Wednesday, July 19, 2017.

   Jim was born in Long Beach, California to the late Byron E. Davis and Ruth (Olssen) Davis.

   He was an appliance repairman and a financial analyst for Edison Electric in Southern California for 29 years before retiring. Jim was a meter reader in the early 60’s for Southern California Edison. In 1997, Jim was a meter reader for the City of Anaheim in Southern California. He also was a planner for the Arizona Pipeline as a subcontractor of Southern California Edison in 1998.

   As a young man Jim played baseball. In his later years he coached little league and collected sports memorabilia along with old western memorabilia. Jim also collected and repaired watches, and worked on cars with his father who owned and operated a gas station in Jim’s teenage years. He enjoyed playing golf, watched sports, including his favorite teams the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots, and in his later years he collected watches as well as repaired them.

   Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sandy S. (Clary) Davis; son, Scott Davis of California; daughters, Breanna Davis of Moore, OK and Terri Davis of California; sisters, Myra Sue Steiner and Linda Jean Davis both of California; grandchild, Christa Renae of California; brother-in-law, Terry Clary of Oklahoma City; sister-in-law, Katja Clary of Oklahoma City; nieces, Lana Clary and Lacey Clary both of Oklahoma City; nephews, Presley Clary and Caleb Pipher both of Oklahoma City.

   Memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Moore Funeral and Cremation, 400 S.E. 19th Street, Moore, OK 73160 with Chaplain Randy Weaver officiating.
