I had the pleasure of working with "Charles in Charge" for over 12 years when I was at BMI + ImageNet. He was always so knowledgeable and helpful over the years and it was fun to joke around with him because he'd always laugh at our goofiness. One day I was reaching up trying to get something out of a cabinet and my shoulder popped out and Charles was the first one there trying to help. I have such fond memories on the showroom learning about the new technology and how we could use it to help people do their jobs better. I wish he could have had more time in retirement to be with his family. We loved you, Charles!

Dear Bishop Family,
I am so saddened by the news of Mr. Bishop's passing. He was one of the coolest people I have ever met. What a life to celebrate. I can't imagine your sorrow at such a sudden loss. Please know I am thinking of all of you right now. You are such a wonderful family and have left a lasting impression on me for the brief time we spent together. Pull together for each other as I know you will. Sending lots of love from South Carolina.
Sincerely,
Amy Hazelwood

TO: Sharon and Family
I am a friend and co-worker of Charles' at Canon. I live in Columbia, MO. I am one of the guys that met annually to renew our care and support of each other. To say that Charles was fiercely loyal is an understatement and you can add lovingly devoted to his family. Charles was a GREAT guy. Strong qualities, leadership, dedication, devotion, supportive, infectious smile, honesty, athletic, fun-loving and caring are the qualities that I will remember about Charles. I thoroughly enjoyed golfing with him. Oh, and his love for Oklahoma Sooner football, but I won't hold that against him (ha). He was truly one of the "good-guys". I will say to his family that as you go forward in life, if you base your decisions and actions as Charles would do, then you will be on the right path. Sharon, he loved you very much and spoke of you often. My I offer you condolences in bearing our tremendous loss. Charles Arthur Bishop was a wonderful person in every respect. God bless you. ~Rick

My Uncle Charles was my buddy all my life. The problem with growing up, life gets in the way of spending enough time with the people who are important to you...who are living in your home. 7 years ago I ran a half marathon in honor of Uncle Charles with the Lymphoma Leukemia Society. He and Aunt Sharon were my guests at the banquet the night before and was there at the finish line. There are many treasured times shared with my Uncle Charles. The first special moment I can remember was when I was 3 or 4 on Christmas morning having a tea party with my new dishes and table and chairs. Vacationing in New Mexico with my grand parents, my little sister, Uncle Charles, Aunt Sharon and sweet baby Michelle was another very special memory. I regret we didn't get to play a round of golf together. This was something we we planning to do once Uncle Charles had recovered from his transplant. Grandma and grandpa and Uncle Charles are loving each other in heaven. Miss you terribly already. Thank you for your love, laughs, your shining smile and light of our family. 💜
