Jeannie Frazier, beloved daughter, sister and mother, passed away on February 16, 2017. Born June 10, 1948 in Sulphur, OK, Jeannie was the daughter of Bruce and Thelma Frazier. She was a graduate of Sulphur High School and East Central University. Jeannie proudly and lovingly served as the House Mother for The University of Oklahoma’s Kappa Alpha Theta sorority for the past 18 years. As “mom”, she cherished the opportunity to mentor, comfort and guide over a thousand young women through their college years. She was twice awarded the National Theta House Mother of the Year. Jeannie’s ultimate passion was for her family. She took special joy in spending time with her four grandchildren. Jeannie was also blessed with many life-long friendships created in every city in which she lived. She will be forever missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by two sons, Brandon and Chase Griffith and their wives Amy and Meghan; brother Felix Frazier and wife Donna; two granddaughters, McKenna and Avery; two grandsons, Fletcher and Harrison; nephew Rhett Frazier and niece Cassidy Frazier, as well as cousins and dear friends. Services to remember and celebrate her life will be held Monday, February 20 at 2 p.m. at Journey Church in Norman.
