Billy Jake Gibson, born October 1, 1932 in Canfield, WV, passed from this life on February 15, 2017. He was one of eight children born to Pearl and Raymond Gibson. He lived in West Virginia until he was 18. He then served for the U.S. Army as assistant to the General during the Korean War. His military career landed him in Lawton, OK where he met and married the love of his life, Barbara Sims. During their 54 years together, Bill was a devoted, loving, strong, hardworking husband and father of 6 children; Ronald, Kathy, Roger, Barbara, Pat, and Brenda. He was a proud Papa of 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He loved to fish, listen to music, and was an outstanding mechanic. He loved to tell stories, make everyone laugh, and would give anyone a hard time.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; two brothers, Walter and Kenneth; and a grandson, Jake.
He leaves behind lots of family and friends that will miss him dearly.
