Wayne Suggs

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Wayne Suggs, born on May 10, 1938, in Joplin, Missouri to Ammon Alec Suggs and Geniveve Gray.
Kenneth, affectionately known to those closest to him as Wayne, departed from this life to join those he loved dearly in eternity. He passed away surrounded by his loving family and faithful companion "Little Bit" on February 17, 2024.
Wayne's life was a testament to his resilience, hard work, and boundless love for his family. Joining the Navy at a young age, he proudly served his country with honor and dedication. On April 15, 1961, he married the love of his life, Mary Louise "Johnnie" Royal, and together they embarked on a lifetime filled with adventures, love, and the joy of raising their four children; Kenneth Wayne Suggs II, Robin, Geniveve, and April.
After his military service, Wayne took on the challenge of entrepreneurship headfirst, establishing a successful truck and trailer business that thrived under his leadership. Upon retirement, Wayne and Johnnie took pleasure in traveling the world, making memories that would last a lifetime until finally settling down in Moore, Oklahoma.
Preceded in death by his parents, his brother Hugh, his beloved wife Johnnie, and his cherished son Kenneth Wayne II, Wayne's legacy is carried forward by his survivors: brother John Suggs; daughters Robin and James Davis of Oklahoma City, OK; Geniveve and Otis Tracey of Luther, OK; April and Cody Beck of Blanchard, OK; his adored pet "Little Bit"; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, and his best friend, Myles Houseberg.
Wayne was known for his iconic flannel shirts, a symbol of his down-to-earth and approachable nature. In honor of his memory, the family invites those attending the service to wear their best flannel shirt as we celebrate his life and legacy.
A viewing will be held on February 22, 2024, from 5-8pm at Moore Funeral and Cremation. The memorial service will take place on February 23, 2024, at 2 pm at the same location reception to follow. The family extends an invitation to friends, family, and those whose lives were touched by Wayne to join in commemorating a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and cherished moments. Wayne's memory will forever be a beacon of light and love in our hearts. May he rest in peace, knowing the indelible mark he has left on this world will never fade.
